Staying at Vila Acvila was a delightful experience that surpassed my expectations. Nestled in a beautifully preserved building from the 1930s, the charm of the place is palpable. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised to find our room equipped with a coffee kettle and complimentary cappuccino mix—perfect for those early mornings in the Carpathians! The big king-size bed offered a cozy retreat after a day of trekking. What truly made our stay memorable were the hosts. Their kindness and professionalism shone through as they provided helpful recommendations for local dining and sights worth exploring. One highlight was the garden, an oasis to unwind and relax after an adventurous day. If you're looking for a quiet refuge with an unusual aura, all while being so close to the natural beauty of the Piatra Craiului National Park, Vila Acvila should be your go-to spot. I will definitely be back, and I can't wait to share this hidden gem with more adventurers!
